Dr. Petrillo was born and raised in Overland Park, KS. She attended Blue Valley West High School and then went to the University of Missouri for Undergrad. Following graduation, she took a gap year filled with travels across the world with her favorites being Greece and Croatia. She then started Medical School in the fall of 2017 at the University of Missouri. During that time she started dating her now husband, Spencer, who had been her childhood best friend growing up. After getting married in 2021, Dr. Petrillo moved her husband and dog, Kane, to Dallas, TX for her residency training.
During her residency, Dr. Petrillo was an administrative chief and fell in love with robotic surgery. She also loved her patient continuity clinic where she was able to focus on patient education and making her patients feel informed about their health and wellness choices. She also had her daughter, Olive, while in residency and is expecting twins girls this Spring! She and Spencer are very excited to move back to the area with their family, and she can’t wait to build her practice and give back to the community.
