3D/4D Ultrasound Our office is excited to offer you and your family this keepsake opportunity. This fetal imaging technology allows expecting families a chance to view 3D images of their unborn baby’s facial features. The ideal time to perform this special ultrasound is between 28 and 32 weeks gestation. These images are for your enjoyment only, and will not be used by your doctor for diagnostic purposes. The ultrasound scan will last about 30 minutes, and family members are welcome to attend. At the end of your session, you will be provided with a CD-ROM and black and white still images of your baby. We would be happy to record this session if the patient provides a blank VHS tape prior to the start of the sonogram. Unfortunately, not all babies cooperate and good facial images cannot be guaranteed. Prior to your ultrasound, you will be asked to to sign a release. These scans are available by appointment only, and offered at a very competitive price.
